Spartanburg, SC- Mary Black Health System-Spartanburg (MBHS) is holding their annual pink pumpkin contest for Breast Cancer Awareness. Several MBHS departments have decorated pumpkins with messages reminding women to get their mammograms. The public is invited to stop by, view the pumpkins and vote for their favorite by Friday, October 20. The winning department will be announced on Wednesday, October 25.
Getting a mammogram this month is more convenient. MBHS Women’s Breast Center, located at 1650 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, is open extended hours each Thursday in October (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.). Walk-ins are accepted year-round Monday - Friday before 3 p.m. A physician’s order is not required, but the patient must provide a provider name to send results.
