SPARTANBURG, SC – On any given day, over 158 million Americans are drinking tea – whether it’s black or green, hot or iced. For centuries, people across the globe have enjoyed drinking tea, making it the second most widely consumed beverage behind water. Some of tea’s purported health benefits are linked to the heart and blood vessels. February marks American Heart Month, a great time to commit to a healthy lifestyle and make small changes that can lead to a lifetime of heart health.
On February 14, at 11:30 a.m., Mary Black’s Cardiology group will discuss heart health with the Spartanburg community and answer the potential questions about the purported benefits of tea during Warming the Heart: Brewing Evidence for Tea and Heart Health Valentine’s Day event. Those attending can meet providers from Mary Black Physicians Group Cardiology and taste tea samples provided by The Vibe Tea House. We will also offer complimentary blood pressure checks.
Join us Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Mary Black Conference Center at 1650 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg which is located on the lower level of the Hugh R.
